Moviecast Showcase - VCoIP on Mobile Phone
Technical Details
In this showcase we present mobile Internet videoconferencing running on a cell phone. The mobile is equipped with two built-in cameras, one at the front and one at the back side. The conference application is displayed on a 2.8" TFT-LCD with 240 X 320 dot pixels. Due to the display size limitation only one subscriber of a multi-party conference and the own video will be displayed at the same time. The mobiles are connected to the Internet via 802.11 b and UMTS respectively.
At the CeBIT 2008 we introduced the first H.264 pure software encoder for mobiles and smartphones. The german press release can be found here.
